The web series is a narrative about the formation of this group, and the struggles to make it racially, sexually, and economically diverse. The film has three main characters, two of whom are women of color. The project is highly ambitious. It's got the raciness of shows like Sex in the City, but it really aims to show the side of women that we don't often talk about: the fact that they are powerful beings that can change the world. In doing this, I want to explore what it means to be a woman, and to do this I feel that it is necessary to have a diverse group of women on the writing crew. I have an excellent idea for a new television crime series, which I'm pretty sure will attract interest if we are able to come up with a good pilot script. The protagonist is an Asian female (i.e from the Asian sub continent: Pakistan, India, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka)and I would like to co write this project with an Asian writer (preferably female) in order to achieve greater authenticity. The plot and all of the characters still need to be worked out and I would like to do so with the new writer. I am based in Oxford and, ideally, you would be based somewhere within commuting distance of Oxford, so that we could meet face to face a couple of times during the writing of the script, but of course, there's always skype and email, so location can be flexible. I am seeking an established screenwriter for a writing partnership to turn the following manuscript into scripts for a major animated children's/adult's feature film. I have written a (aimed at children, teenagers, adults) manuscript which is 17,000 words first book in total 50,000 words. The manuscript is called the Space Spinners which is about aliens (angels) that need to search for water and come to a planet that has this water. The Space Spinners agree to help the creatures change their bad ways, however they must go on a long journey to find a magical place named Knowledge. The Space Spinners has the flavor of Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, Monsters Inc . The potential customers could be Disney, BskyB, ITV, ABC, Warner Bros, Universal, etc. The Space Spinners teaches about education, anti-social behavior, poor life skills, cruelty, unselfishness, poor management, covers children and teenagers who hang around in gangs. Red Dress Productions is currently working on, a series of short films based on the subject of mental health, together the short films will add up to a feature length film with several individually dramatised stories based on peoples real life experiences of mental health. They will be individually written and made, with Red Dress Productions as the overarching production company. However, there will be subtle links between each story such as a location or a phrase. The film will be set to be shown at festivals throughout the UK and abroad and I will also be approaching the BFI, BAFTA and Film 4. We are currently looking for writers to submit 10 minute shorts by the end of May, we will then pick 8 shorts to be made. I would suggest that if you are interested in this project but don't have any first hand experience of mental illness then you get someone who has to tell you their story. The story could be based around the person afflicted with a condition or someone close to them that has been effected by it. It could be sad and distressing or joyful and happy, it could be a liner narrative or something more experimental, we are looking for a diverse range of scripts. Although all the stories are individual we are looking for them all to have a connection, so please incorporate one of the following in your script: 1.)a cafe - this is a particularly strong connection. 2.) university halls 3.) a hospital 4.) a school art room. Looking for a creative scriptwriter to help with the script for a promotional film trailer to promote the sport of airsoft within the UK. The short 1 minute advert is a collaboration to enable us to test the limitations of the Canon DSLR's and C300 in a variety of conditions and set-ups. Airsofting is a hobby sport within the UK that caters for teenagers and adults alike to enjoy 'real' call of duty game play, utilising realistic weaponry and tactics, the sport is played throughout the UK on a number of woodland, urban and sometimes offshore sites! Floods: Man And Dog Drown In Submerged Car
A man and his dog have died after the car they were in
became completely submerged in floodwater as it was crossing a ford -
while large swathes of England and Wales brace for more flooding.
Emergency
services said a 54-year-old woman, who had been driving, managed to
escape from the vehicle after it got stuck in "5ft of fast-flowing"
water near Newbury in West Berkshire.The 52-year-old man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene in Compton Wood, Hampshire.
Inspector Jon Snook said: "We believe the car drove into the ford from the Hampshire side where it appears as though it was swept downstream and became submerged.
"On arrival, we co-ordinated a rescue operation with the fire service to try and free the man. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
"We know that the ford was flooded and we are now conducting an investigation to establish the exact circumstances of this incident and will be preparing a file for the coroner."
Police also said the woman was taken to Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, where she was being treated for shock.
It comes as rain and wind continue to wreak havoc in many parts of the country and high rivers from the weekend rain pose a danger to property.
The Met Office says this month has been the UK's wettest April since records began in 1910.
At least 36 flood warnings and 152 flood alerts are in place, with localised flooding expected in parts of southern and eastern England, the Midlands and Wales.
A spokeswoman for the Environment Agency (EA) said three incident rooms had been set up in the Midlands, while a further incident room was set up for the Wessex area in the south.
She said: "It's not unusual to experience heavy downpours and some flooding - mainly of farmland - at this time of year, but we're continuing to closely monitor the forecast and rainfall particularly in areas along the rivers Severn, Teme and Avon, including Worcestershire, Shropshire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.
"Environment Agency teams are out on the ground continuing a close watch on river levels as well as checking defences and clearing any potential blockages to reduce the risk of flooding."
The heavy rain has caused the cancellation of the Badminton Horse Trials in Gloucestershire, which were due to start on Friday.
Organisers admitted the decision was taken as there was no realistic chance of the ground drying out in time for the event.
Among the towns worst hit by the downpours are Taunton, in Somerset, and Tewkesbury, in Gloucestershire, which was devastated by flooding five years ago.
Midlands correspondent David Crabtree is in Tewkesbury, which he said was under more than two foot of water.
"In places there was around 2.2 inches of rainfall, which is well above the average," he said.
"People in some places are preparing with sandbags to make sure that the water doesn't get into their homes.
"I have to say, (the water) is still rising. We do hear that more rainfall is on the way.
"The Environment Agency say this above-average rainfall does help in terms of trying to alleviate drought conditions that are still in force here, but we'll need similar kinds of rainfall over the next few months to get out of that situation."
More than 1,800 households in Tewkesbury were forced to move out of their homes and into temporary accommodation by torrential rainfall in 2007.
The latest downpours come at the end of a particularly wet week for England and Wales, in which 42mm (1.7in) of rain fell in the South East and 55mm (2.2in) in the South West, which has now had 166% of the average rainfall for April.
Many areas at risk of floods are currently in a state of drought, which is gripping the South East, East Anglia, the Midlands, the South West and south and east Yorkshire after two unusually dry winters in a row.
While some parts of Britain can hope for a reprieve today, the South West shows no sign of drying up with the wet weather set to continue.
Sky News weather presenter Joanna Robinson said: "Most other places will dry up, but southwest Britain will stay wet and windy, with gusts up to 60mph."
Thousands of homes were left without power in Wales over the weekend.
Around 1,200 homes in South Wales still have no electricity.
Earlier many homes were cut off in the West Midlands, as well as 2,000 in the South West, electricity supplier Western Power said.
